Welcome
to the Royal Oak Yattendon. Since the 16th century, The Royal Oak has been
known for its warm welcome and friendly hospitality. Today, travellers who
turn off the motorway enjoy a pleasant 15-minute drive through the Berkshire
countryside to the unspoilt village of Yattendon and the inn on the tranquil
square. In 1644, Oliver Cromwell reportedly dined at the inn before the Battle
of Newbury. Today's restaurant has been critically acclaimed and The Royal
Oak has been awarded two AA rosettes, alongside numerous other awards.
