Nestled in the picturesque and historic village of Yattendon, on the Yattendon Estate in Berkshire sits The Royal Oak. A comforting home-from-home and a relaxing bolt hole in this increasingly hectic world.
From as far back as 1644 when Oliver Cromwell dined with us before the Battle of Newbury, through the Eighteenth Century when local villagers came to break heads on Revel Day, we continue to offer the warmest of welcomes to visitors from around the Globe.
Take time-out and enjoy locally sourced fine food, real ales from the village brewery, our beautiful gardens and boules pitch. Or curl up in front of a roaring fire with a good book and a glass of wine and recharge your batteries at your own pace.
For more active guests, the local area offers an abundance of outdoor activities including shooting, horse riding, bluebell walks and lambing in the springtime and of course the renowned Village Fete day in the summer, to name just a few.
We hope we'll be seeing you very soon.
